What a summer it was
This summer was incredible. Nearly 2,000 of you came to our seven-acre maize maze near Lewes, and we loved every minute of it. You navigated two mazes, found hidden game boards, discovered the views from our South Downs vantage point, and sent us multiple five-star reviews. Thank you for making 2026 our best season yet.

What to expect (when we return in 2027):
Two mazes on site - a mini maze to warm up and a main maze to really test your navigational skills (around 1.5–2 hours)
Stunning views across the South Downs from inside the maze
Set on a real working farm in Rodmell, just outside Lewes in East Sussex
Free parking on site in a grass field
Picnics welcome - bring a blanket and make a day of it
Dogs welcome outside the maze on a non-extendable lead
Suitable for all ages - pushchair accessible for the determined!

“We had a fantastic time at the maize maze. My teenagers got lost, but found themselves again, enjoyed a picnic and a little something from the coffee van and myself and our dog had a great walk up to the top of the hill to overlook the maze.

“Took the boys to the Maize Maze and it was great fun. The staff were friendly and helpful. Tackling the mini maze gets you prepared (not) for the main maze. There are tasks in both mazes that kept the kids engaged (ages 7-10).
Make sure you do take a photo of the map before entering the main maze, it is very hard, and with the kids getting tired, you need it to find the remaining sheep and locate the exit.
For the time in the season, the maze was in great condition, no trampling or cut through a found in other mazes.”
“We had a go at both the small and large mazes on our visit, and they were fantastic fun! We got good advice about how to complete the games that we were given, which the kids thoroughly enjoyed.
There were also garden games, which I think were homemade.
It was a lovely place to sit and have a chat and a coffee while the children played.
The staff here were absolutely wonderful, talking to us and giving us lots of info about happened with the maize after the maze is taken away.
Me and my family truly enjoyed our visit yesterday. The dogs we met were a very welcome addition!

“My teenage son and I had a great time, despite him initially being sceptical! The mini maze was a good starting point to get you acclimatised. The main maze was trickier than we thought at first, but that's what made it interesting. We had a laugh playing the find the sheep and sheepdog games. I would highly recommend South Farm, they are a friendly bunch, it was lovely to meet the farm dogs as well. The coffee and milkshake were delicious. ”
